Pastoral Support Lead
A Secondary School in Stevenage is searching for a Pastoral Support Lead to join their team for an ASAP start. This is a full-time position, supporting students to learn in an independent working environment.
Your job as a Pastoral Support Lead will support students aged 11-19 in accessing a range of learning resources and information to aid their studies.
Suitable candidates for this Pastoral Support Lead position will come with a strong academic background, ideally educated to undergraduate level at a minimum. You will have a passion for education, learning, and high achievement. With prior experience in a pastoral setting in schools.
Daily Duties:
- Lead on improving student behaviour, achievement, and self-esteem by using the expertise available
- Provide pastoral advice and information to students and their families
- Working closely with parents of children who are at risk of exclusion, reasonably required
- High visibility in the year group following the year cohort around school and working with them in the classrooms and at break and lunchtime
- Monitoring punctuality and attendance concerns, working with individuals to set targets to improve attendance and punctuality

Full Details of this Pastoral Support Lead Position:
- Salary: £120 - £130 per day
- Position Type: Full-time (term-time only)
- Location: Stevenage
- School: High-achieving Secondary School
Responsibilities:
- Play a leading role in working alongside the families of identified students to support their progress and attainment
- Supervise and provide support for student/s, including those with identified needs, either in literacy or for other subjects
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
- Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students
- Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence
