About The Venue

8 Bishopsgate is a diverse, multi-outlet tenant driven operation with an incredible range of hospitality. 8 features two café bars; a restaurant on level 26; The Lookout on level 50; executive dining and meeting rooms plus an auditorium for up to 200 guests. In addition, we cater events across the building.

Role Purpose

Pastry Chef de Partie - Rhubarb Hospitality Collection

Monday to Friday

We are looking for a passionate Pastry Chef de Partie to join our growing kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a true foodie who enjoys working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and wants to be part of a creative kitchen environment.

Our menus change seasonally with worldwide influences, alongside a daily changing menu on a four-week cycle, offering constant learning and development opportunities for the right candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare and deliver high quality dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are always met and exceeded
  • Take a hands on approach in the kitchen, leading your section with confidence and setting the standard during service
  • Collaborate closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and efficient service

What We’re Looking For

A proactive and detail-oriented Pastry Chef de Partie with a passion for high quality food and strong organisational skills.

  • You will be confident running your own section, maintaining consistency and presentation standards, and supporting the wider team during busy service periods.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential.

This role would suit a chef who is eager to learn, enjoys creativity, and wants to develop within a progressive kitchen environment.

Good to know

The role offers up to £14.50 per hour plus service charge with a predominantly Monday to Friday schedule, supporting a strong work-life balance. The business is closed on Easter, Christmas, and all bank holidays, and meals are provided while on duty.
