Pastry Chef – Kitchen

At Rick Stein Restaurants, we’re all about fresh seafood, simple cooking done brilliantly, and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Desserts are a vital part of that experience, and we’re now looking for a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team.
If you love baking, have an eye for detail, and take pride in producing beautiful, consistent desserts, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and producing high-quality desserts
- Following recipes and specifications to ensure consistency across service
- Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering smooth, successful services
- Ensuring all desserts are presented beautifully and to brand standards
- Maintaining excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety practices
- Managing stock, labelling, rotation, and minimising waste in the pastry section
- Learning and developing new pastry techniques and skills
- Supporting the training and mentoring of junior kitchen team members
- Contributing creative ideas for dessert menus, specials, and seasonal items

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a pastry or professional kitchen role
- A passion for baking, desserts, and high-quality ingredients
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
- A team player who thrives in a busy, professional kitchen
- Willingness to learn, develop, and progress within the kitchen brigade
- Organised, calm, and reliable under pressure
- Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude
