About the Role – What You’ll Do

As a Pastry Commis Chef at Amazonico, you’ll be part of our dynamic kitchen brigade, crafting beautiful and delicious desserts that leave a lasting impression. You’ll bring creativity, precision, and flair to every plate, delivering Amazonico’s signature style in one of London’s most iconic dining destinations.

You will:

  • Prepare high-quality pastry items and mise en place on a timely basis according to standard recipes and stock schedules
  • Work closely with the Pastry Chef de Partie, Pastry Sous Chef, and Head Chef to maintain smooth operations
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleaning checklists
  • Ensure accurate portion sizes, ingredient weights, and overall consistency across all pastry preparation
  • Assist with receiving food deliveries and managing correct stock rotation
  • Maintain an uninterrupted flow of food during busy service periods through efficient section setup
  • Uphold Amazónico’s high culinary standards and maintain professional grooming at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Commis Chef in a premium or luxury kitchen
  • Solid foundational pastry skills, good knife work, and keen attention to detail
  • A genuine passion for pastry, eagerness to learn, and commitment to high presentation standards
  • A calm, adaptable, and professional attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong teamwork, punctuality, and excellent organisational skills to keep the section running smoothly
