Junior Pastry Sous Chef
If you live for the moment a dessert lands on the pass looking exactly as you imagined it, we would love to meet you.
The Twenty Two is a luxury boutique hotel and private members club set within a restored townhouse on Grosvenor Square, in the very heart of Mayfair. Behind the doors is one of London's most talked about pastry sections, turning out restaurant desserts and showpieces for private events. Every plate is an occasion, and pastry is where a lot of the magic happens.
We are looking for a Junior Pastry Sous Chef with real ambition to join the London brigade. This is a chance to sharpen your craft alongside an experienced team, take ownership of your section, and build your career within a celebrated London property that takes pastry seriously.
A Day in the Section
Reporting to the senior pastry team, you will help drive the daily running of the section. One service you might be finishing delicate petit fours for a member event, the next you are dialling in a new plated dessert or guiding a commis through their first batch of laminated dough. You will deputise for the senior chefs when needed and take genuine pride in keeping every detail beautiful and consistent.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
