Hakkasan Mayfair, part of Hakkasan Group, home to the internationally acclaimed Hakkasan and Yauatcha restaurants, is seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Sous Chef to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the leadership of our pastry kitchen in a fast-paced, high-quality hospitality environment, delivering exceptional desserts while developing and inspiring a talented team within a world-class brand.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef within a quality pastry kitchen.
- A genuine passion for pastry, desserts and working with quality ingredients.
- Strong pastry knowledge and technical skills, with a commitment to quality, consistency and presentation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop junior chefs.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to support the smooth day-to-day running of a busy pastry kitchen.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards throughout preparation and service.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen best practices.
- A positive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
