About the Firm
Our client is a well-established intellectual property law firm advising domestic and international clients on the protection and management of their intellectual property rights. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a bilingual administrator to join their patents team.
The Role
You will provide administrative support to attorneys across the patent lifecycle, working in both French and English. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented administrator with prior patent experience to build their career within a highly regarded practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and filing patent applications and related documentation with national and international patent offices
- Monitoring deadlines, renewals, and official due dates using the firm's records management system
- Drafting and reviewing correspondence with clients, foreign agents, and patent offices in French and English
- Maintaining accurate records and case management databases
- Assisting with billing and invoicing for patent matters
- Providing general administrative support to the patent team

Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English
- Previous experience in a patent administration or intellectual property support role
- Familiarity with patent filing procedures and formalities
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with deadlines and official documentation
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload

Desirable:
- A recognised intellectual property administration qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Experience with electronic patent filing systems
- Additional language skills
Please note this role can be based in most UK locations with some travel to national and international locations required.
