Working on AI, with AI
If you have a passion for protecting inventions in the software & AI space and also have passion for leveraging AI in your patent practice then we want to hear from you. Working with Visser AI techniques will allow you to harness the power of AI to work with clients to help draft, prosecute and defend inventions for our global client base.
Who we are looking for?
Two people...such is the volume of work which continues to pour in as the market recognises our blend of high-calibre attorneys wielding the latest technologies...with the client as the beneficiaries.
Our portfolio of direct clients offers a consistent caseload of original drafting and so, even though our advances in patenting AI tech allows us to draft differently to many firms, demonstrable skills in this area are essential. We expect candidates to have consistent experience in drafting. More generally, we enjoy working with people who are diligent, accountable, curious and welcome the opportunity to collaborate across borders and teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
