An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Associate to join one of the UK's leading intellectual property disputes teams in London.

Working with an impressive client base spanning innovative technology, engineering, pharmaceutical and life sciences businesses, you'll play a key role on complex, high-profile disputes across both the UK courts and the Unified Patent Court. The team offers excellent quality work, genuine responsibility and the chance to work alongside some of the most respected practitioners in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own matters while supporting Partners on significant patent disputes.
  • Advise clients on UK and cross-border IP litigation.
  • Handle matters before the UK courts and the UPC.
  • Draft pleadings, legal submissions and strategic advice.
  • Work directly with clients, experts and counsel.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationships.
  • Mentor junior members of the team where appropriate.

Requirements

  • UK Qualified Solicitor.
  • Approximately 2–5 years' PQE in intellectual property disputes.
  • Mandatory STEM degree.
  • Experience handling patent litigation matters.
  • Strong technical understanding and commercial judgement.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
