Taylor Root is delighted to be partnering with a leading international law firm in its search for a Patent Litigation Associate (NQ-3 PQE) to join its highly regarded Intellectual Property practice in London.

The Team

This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-tier patents practice that acts on complex, high-value disputes for many of the world's most innovative pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, and technology companies. The team advises on the full spectrum of patent disputes, appearing before the UK courts and the Unified Patent Court (UPC), as well as providing strategic advice on patent portfolios, licensing arrangements, and regulatory matters.

The Role

Working as part of a market-leading patents team, the successful candidate will advise on a broad range of contentious patent matters, with a particular focus on life sciences and pharmaceutical litigation. The practice is regularly instructed on disputes involving blockbuster products, supplementary protection certificates (SPCs), regulatory exclusivities, and multi-jurisdictional enforcement strategies.

The role offers high levels of responsibility from an early stage, direct client contacts, and the opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners on complex cross-border matters.

Requirements

Applications are welcomed from solicitors with between NQ and 3 years' post-qualification experience gained at a leading private practice or patent specialist firm.

A STEM degree or technical background would be advantageous, given the nature of the client base and work involved, although this is not a prerequisite.
