Job Description: Pathology Project Manager
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Pathology Department is currently undergoing a transformative change to enhance the use of technology, automation, digital systems, and equipment across pathology services in support of patient care and operational efficiency.
Role Overview
The post holder, under the guidance of the Pathology Programme Manager, will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple concurrent pathology projects. These projects range from small operational initiatives to major transformation programmes exceeding £1 million in value.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project management leadership for the procurement, implementation, and delivery of multiple pathology projects and transformation programmes.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively, and in accordance with agreed objectives, quality standards, budgets, and timescales.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, digital, and corporate stakeholders to coordinate project activities, governance, reporting, communication, and implementation planning.
- Support performance improvement, service development, and organizational change across pathology services and associated programmes.
- Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership behaviors, supporting collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement across teams and organizational boundaries.

Working Hours
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week (Part-time hours may be considered)
