Job Opportunity: Pathway Coordinator
An opportunity has arisen at the Florence Nightingale Community Hospital within the Dermatology department, for a part-time (30 hours/week) Pathway Coordinator to join our secretarial team.
You will be part of an administration team of secretarial staff providing an efficient and professional medical secretarial service, within an established team of Clinicians.
You will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will require high levels of tact, diplomacy, with the ability to prioritize your own workload effectively.
Responsibilities
- Typing clinical correspondence
- Appointment scheduling
- Diary management
- Dealing with a wide range of telephone queries
- Flexible approach to workload
Requirements
- Previous secretarial or administration experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An understanding of the 18-week RTT process
- Knowledge of the Trust Patient Access Policy
- Knowledge and familiarization of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, and email systems
- RSA II or equivalent qualification / equivalent experience
- NVQ level III Business and Administration or equivalent knowledge and skills
- Audio typing qualification or experience desirable
- Minute-taking experience preferred but training can be provided
