Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary 3-6 Months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency
Classification: Administrative Services Officer Level 4 (PN 68881, 68878)
Salary: $86,750 - $93,416 (Plus 12.5% Super)
Location: Village Creek, Kambah
Section: Patient Accounts
Closing Date: 5th August 2026

About the Role:

Play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services through the efficient management of patient billing and accounts receivable functions.

In this diverse and fast-paced role, you will:

  • Oversee a range of routine and complex billing activities
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of patient account information
  • Manage invoice distribution and debt recovery processes
  • Apply your knowledge of Medicare requirements, fee schedules, and billing legislation to maintain compliance with financial and audit standards
  • Contribute to monthly reconciliations, reporting, and business outcomes

Working closely with patients, staff, and other stakeholders, you will:

  • Provide responsive customer service
  • Resolve enquiries
  • Support continuous improvement of billing processes
  • Share your expertise through training and guidance to colleagues across CHS

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional looking to make a meaningful contribution in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Applicants will need to be enthusiastic and have excellent interpersonal skills, have a strong willingness to learn and understand billing in a public health environment, and use hospital-based IT systems such as Digital Health Record (DHR) and Power Billing and Revenue Collection (PBRC).
