Team Leader - Patient Administration Services
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated full-time permanent Team Leader within the Patient Administration Services Team, based at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person, with a flexible approach, to provide support primarily to the front desk senior clerks (ED Reception Team), ensuring first-class service is delivered to our patients. The post holder will ensure all administrative processes are followed, in line with standard operating procedures, providing a streamlined service to our patients.
- Support in coordinating the teams on a daily basis
- Responsible with existing team leaders in day to day management
- Work closely with the Patient Admin Services Operational Manager in supporting team leaders and the department where necessary
- Work in all areas and be actively involved with the implementation of any new ways of working
- Assist in coordinating the Patient Admin Service across the Trust in conjunction with the other Team Leaders (please see JD for further details)
You must be flexible and adaptable to change and able to manage the forthcoming changes within the department. If you relish a challenge, can work under pressure and want to experience first line management, then this job is for you.

- Responsible for the day to day management of members of the Patient Admin Services Team
- Primarily working closely with the line management team responsible for the out-patient reception teams
- Assist in coordinating the Patient Admin Service across the Trust in conjunction with the other Team Leaders (please see JD for further details)
- Available to support senior colleagues who line manage other areas within PAST - health records, and digitization services team, ward clerk teams, out-patient and emergency department receptionists
Working hours: shift pattern between the hours of 08.00 to 17:30
