Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey as a Patient Administration Officer at our state-of-the-art cancer care centre located in Guildford?
Be part of something new. Our new Guildford SACT unit opens in December 2026 – and we’re looking for an experienced medical administrator to join our admin team as part of our new SACT unit.
The Role:
As a Patient Administration Officer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring all patient referrals are processed and appointments are booked efficiently in accordance with GenesisCare policies and will undertake all administrative activities required along with providing excellent customer care to patients and visitors attending the Centre. This role is available on a full-time (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri), permanent basis and is a centre-based role.
What You'll Do:
- Work closely with consultants and secretaries to provide support in the patient referral pathway
- Act as point of contact for all patients ensuring a professional and efficient service
- Confirming receipt of referrals and registration for all patients referred for Radiotherapy and Outpatient clinics. At our Medical Centre you will also be responsible for Chemotherapy, Diagnostics, referrals.

Experience and skills:
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience managing a busy reception area
- Experience in a customer-focused environment
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Experience within a diverse range of administrative roles
- Evidence of an empathetic and holistic approach to patient care
- Experience with resolving complaints satisfactorily

Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Experience of using MOSAIQ IT package an advantage
- Be proficient in all MS Office packages including, but not limited to, Word, Excel & Outlook
- Previously worked within the healthcare sector preferred

- Work cooperatively within a team, exchange information and assist other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes.
