Job Title: Patient Advisor
Department: Outpatient Bookings Department
Responsible to: Outpatient Team Lead
Hours: 37.5 hours over Monday to Sunday (must be flexible between 8am-8pm)
Salary: £28,565 per annum

Full Job Description
As our Patient Advisor - Outpatient Bookings, you'll play a key role in providing an exceptional experience for patients from their very first interaction with St Joseph's Hospital. Working within a friendly, fast-paced, and target-driven team, you'll guide patients through their healthcare journey, manage enquiries and appointments, and deliver outstanding customer service while supporting the growth and success of our outpatient services.
Job Summary
The Outpatient Bookings team is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, consistently striving to exceed the expectations of patients, consultants, and colleagues. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our team. The successful candidate will manage patient enquiries and appointments, provide accurate information and support, and contribute to team objectives while ensuring every patient receives a professional, efficient, and positive experience.

Essential Criteria
- Working within call-handling sales team.
- Worked in Customer Services environment.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the efficient working of a target driven team.
- Good attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and target driven.
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent customer service skills and the understanding of how this benefits the business
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Desirable
- Further Education Qualification e.g. A level, BTEC.
- Worked within CRM Systems.
- Worked in healthcare environment.

- Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the hospitals Safety, Health and Environment Policies and procedures and to cooperate with the hospital on any legal duties placed on it as the employer.

- The post holder’s duties will at all times, be carried out in compliance with Hospital policies and procedures. - Staff may be required to work in any department to meet the needs of the service, with potentially variable patterns of work that may include weekend working.
- The post-holder must at all times respect the confidentiality of information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and ensure compliance with associated legislative and Hospital policy.
