Patient Billing Administrator

How you’ll help us make health happen.

You will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the hospital by ensuring accurate, timely billing and reimbursement for services provided. By delivering a seamless billing experience for patients and insurers, resolving queries with empathy, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, you will help improve patient satisfaction, optimise revenue collection, and support the delivery of high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate accurate and timely patient bills, ensuring all services and charges are clearly documented.
  • Prepare and submit insurance claims promptly, minimizing delays and reducing the risk of rejections.
  • Respond to patient and stakeholder billing queries in a professional and courteous manner, providing clear guidance and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Monitor outstanding payments and proactively follow up on overdue accounts to support cash flow and reduce revenue loss.
  • Ensure all billing activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards.
  • Analyse billing data and reports to identify trends, errors, or opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, clinical, and patient services, to streamline billing processes and resolve discrepancies.

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical billing, ideally within a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of billing processes, including claims submission, coding, and reimbursement.
  • Experience using billing systems and electronic platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data handling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with patients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage workload independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
