Booking Officer Opportunity
A permanent opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology team at the National Treatment Centre – Highland based on the Inverness Campus for a motivated and enthusiastic Booking Officer to support the Ophthalmology Service.
Responsibilities
- Managing patient appointments
- Ensuring clinics are utilised effectively and in line with waiting time targets
Requirements
- Proven experience in a booking or patient administration role
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Prioritising a demanding workload
Key Tasks
- Liaise directly with patients, handling enquiries in a professional and compassionate manner
- Ensuring a high standard of customer care
- Work closely with Medical Secretaries, Ophthalmology Co‑ordinators, Consultants, and the wider clinical team, providing comprehensive administrative support
- Experience of Trak Care or a similar patient management system is desirable
