We are looking for an experienced Patient Catering Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality patient meal services within a busy hospital environment in Tooting.
This is an exciting opportunity for a catering professional with strong healthcare, food safety, and people management experience. Working closely with NHS stakeholders, you will ensure patients receive safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of patient catering services.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety legislation, allergen management, and NHS food standards.
- Monitor food quality, temperature controls, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
- Drive excellent patient satisfaction through efficient and consistent meal service delivery.
- Recruit, train, develop, and motivate catering teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS clients and key stakeholders.
- Manage staffing levels, resources, and rotas to support service delivery.
- Control food, labour, and operational costs to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure all health & safety, infection prevention, and company compliance standards are met.

About You
- Previous management experience within healthcare, hospital catering, or large-scale catering operations.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene regulations, allergen management, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and KPIs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
