We're looking for a passionate and experienced Patient Dining Manager to lead our luxury patient dining service, ensuring every patient receives a personalised, five-star dining experience from admission through to discharge. This is a unique opportunity to combine outstanding hospitality leadership with patient-focused care in one of London's leading private hospitals.
How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen
As Patient Dining Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end patient dining experience, leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional service standards while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and patient satisfaction.
You will:
- Lead and inspire the Patient Dining team to deliver a luxury five-star dining experience.
- Ensure the highest standards of food presentation, service delivery, accuracy, and patient satisfaction.
- Conduct regular patient rounds, building relationships and understanding individual preferences and dietary requirements.
- Work closely with clinical and nursing teams to safely deliver therapeutic, allergen-sensitive, and culturally appropriate dining experiences.
- Lead VIP patient dining services, ensuring excellence, discretion, and personalised service.
- Monitor service performance through KPIs, audits, and patient feedback, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage service recovery, complaints, and feedback processes to deliver positive outcomes.
- Oversee staffing, rota planning, inductions, training, and team development.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, health and safety, infection prevention, and data protection requirements.
- Support financial performance through effective rota management, cost control, stock management, and waste reduction initiatives.

Key Skills / Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience leading a patient dining, hospitality, or premium foodservice operation.
- Demonstrable commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and five-star standards.
- A relevant management qualification.
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Experience managing, coaching, and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams.
- Experience managing complaints, service recovery, and customer feedback.
- Ability to analyse performance data, KPIs, and audit findings to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and service management systems.
- Flexible approach to supporting operational requirements and VIP service delivery.
Desirable
- Experience within private healthcare, luxury hospitality, or five-star hotel environments.
- Previous responsibility for VIP or high-profile client service delivery.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and IDDSI requirements.
- Experience using Datix or equivalent incident and feedback reporting systems.
- Experience supporting recruitment, rota planning, and budget management.
