To work as an integrated part of the Patient Engagement & Involvement Team, accountable to the Patient Engagement & Involvement Manager. This post will form part of the wider patient experience and engagement team who are dedicated to ensuring patient experience informs the care provided by the Trust.
The purpose of this role is to support the engagement and involvement plan for Somerset NHS Foundation Trust by ensuring the trust has an effective working relationship with the interpretation services provider and addresses any queries that arise. The role will support the delivery of the Trust's Accessible Information Standard work programme through administrative support, monitoring activity, coordinating meetings, maintaining records, and supporting accessibility initiatives across the organisation.

The post holder will assist the Patient Engagement and Involvement Manager with any external and proactive engagement. The vision for this role is to also work in close partnership with the Trust inclusion team and will therefore have a specific focus on the equality, diversity, and inclusion agenda. There will be a requirement to collate data and feedback to understand the experience of diverse groups and use insight to inform positive change and improvements to service delivery.
