Are you passionate about giving people a voice and ensuring people receive the best health and social care? If so we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Healthwatch East Riding team.
Healthwatch has a wide remit and has a number of legal powers to help ensure that patient and public voice is at the heart of how health and care services are designed and delivered.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with members of the public and key stakeholders to ensure that the experiences of those using health care services drive meaningful improvements.
As a Patient Experience Manager you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the local Healthwatch service effectively acts as the independent consumer champion for health and social care services in their area. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
