Job Summary

Be responsible for gathering and inputting information into the Trusts Remote Monitoring System

  • Run quality checks and identify gaps in patient records for those on remote monitoring and escalate
  • Tracking patients on the remote monitoring service
  • To provide comprehensive administrative support for the Cancer Support Team
  • To provide telephone support to the Cancer Support Workers and their patient caseload
  • Manages own workload, required to act independently deciding when it is necessary to refer to their manager
  • Liaise with staff, multi-agency/external agency representatives, patient/carer groups, in receiving or delivering information, meeting invitations, meeting minutes
  • Processes a variety of data and administration sources including excel databases, other Trust IT systems, Managed Learning Environment, Microsoft Teams, receiving, disseminating and storing a variety of communications in varying formats

Person Specification

Experience Essential

  • Admin and Clerical experience

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment

Knowledge Essential

  • Excellent customer care skills to communicate with patients and relatives, in person, and by telephone managing barriers of communication
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all multi-disciplinary professionals across all departments, and with GP practices and other Trusts
  • Ability to act on own initiative within parameters set by service
  • Ability to prioritise, organise own workload and to work to set deadlines
