Role Overview
The post holder will be central to the development, implementation, and oversight of the Clinical Research Facility (CRF) Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategies for the period 2026 – 2029.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for researchers and CRF staff members interested in involving members of the public in their work or research.
- Respond to enquiries, meet with researchers to understand their needs, and provide expert advice on PPIE.
- Coordinate meetings with public members and signpost to, and provide, training, support, and resources.
- Manage the CRF PPIE group, including answering questions, organizing training and events, facilitating interactions, and overseeing the process of obtaining meaningful involvement opportunities.
- Maintain consistent communication with the CRF PPIE group through newsletters, emails, telephone calls, and face-to-face meetings.
- Promote the CRF, the PPIE group, and recruit new members by collaborating with the Trust Communications and EDI Teams.
