Job Description

As the Patient Relations Manager you will provide coordination and operational support for AbbVie UK’s patient advocacy activity across therapy areas, enabling the Government Affairs & Patient Advocacy team to manage and Patient Advocacy Group (PAG), and Patient engagement in a consistent, professional and well-documented way.

Key activities such as coordinating PAG meetings and patient engagements, preparing clear briefing materials, maintaining accurate records of interactions and commitments, and helping ensure activity is delivered to the right standard, on time and through appropriate governance. PAG relationship ownership and patient advocacy strategy sit with the Government Affairs & Patient Advocacy Managers as part of their therapy area remit; this role enables high-quality delivery through reliable planning and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • PAG engagement coordination
    • Coordinate PAG meetings and patient engagements on behalf of the Government Affairs & Patient Advocacy team, managing logistics, invitations, agendas, meeting materials and follow-up actions so that every interaction is well organised and clearly documented.
  • Briefing and meeting preparation
    • Draft and compile briefing documents, meeting packs and strategy one-pagers under the direction of Senior Government Affairs & Patient Advocacy Managers, ensuring materials are clear, accurate, audience-appropriate and delivered to deadline.
  • Documentation, tracking and transparency support
    • Maintain accurate records of PAG interactions, including documentation needed for governance, compliance and transparency reporting.
    • Support the maintenance of PAG mapping, contact information, commitments and action logs across therapy areas, prompting timely follow-through where needed.
  • Project support and cross-functional coordination
    • Provide general project coordination and administrative support for patient advocacy activity, helping the team manage priorities, deadlines and dependencies. Liaise with Communications colleagues and other internal stakeholders where PAG engagement requires input from different functions.
  • Stakeholder support and relationship enablement
    • Support Senior Government Affairs & Patient Advocacy Managers by preparing the team for PAG interactions, connecting the right internal colleagues at the right time and helping maintain a current picture of AbbVie UK’s relationships, interactions and outstanding commitments.
  • Governance and compliant delivery
    • Ensure patient advocacy activity is carried out in line with AbbVie policies, required documentation standards and the ABPI Code of Practice, recognising risk, seeking appropriate input and escalating issues early.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
