About The Role

Previous applicants need not apply

The Patient Safety Administrator will assist the Patient Safety Intelligence Manager in providing an efficient, accurate and timely patient safety management process.

This is an exciting time to join this small team as the Trust has recently transitioned to a new Local Risk Management System (LRMS) - Radar.

The post holder will ensure confidentiality at all times in adhering to the Information Governance Policy within the Trust and be expected to work flexibly across the wider team in order to support learning, improvement and assurance work.

The post holder will manage their own workload on a day to day basis within agreed objectives and will need to have an ability to determine priorities, deal with conflicting tasks and achieve deadlines.

As part of the Patient Safety team the post holder will provide a friendly and approachable service for all users, internally and externally and support the Divisional teams with the incident management process as and when required.

As part of the assessment process at interview, shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake a short Excel exercise; further details will be provided on the day.

Please note that interviews for shortlisted candidates are scheduled to take place during the week commencing 2nd November 2026.

Main duties

  • The post holder will ensure that accurate data checking procedures are followed within the Local Risk Management System e.g. Datix/Radar.
  • The post holder will communicate with all levels of staff following any queries/concerns with the LRMS incident management process escalating any concerns to the Patient Safety Intelligence Manager or Patient Safety team.
  • The post holder is responsible for extracting and manipulating information from the LRMS in order to fulfil basic requirements of the Trust.
  • Analyse data extracted from the LRMS, identify themes and trends and support the Patient Safety Intelligence Manager in the delivery of basic reports.
  • Responds to routine telephone enquiries in a professional manner.
  • Assist with general LRMS admin requests including but not limited to password resets, new account creations etc.
  • Support the Divisional teams with the incident management process as and when required.
  • Monitoring the central email account and responding appropriately using own initiative and escalating as necessary.
  • Maintain the Patient Safety inbox and liaise with other Trusts and the Integrated Care Board (ICB) on internally and externally reported incidents and ensure the Interface Incident spreadsheet is populated and updated and feedback is sent.
  • Respond to queries, correspondence and telephone calls in a timely and professional manner. Initiate action where possible and report progress as appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
