Help shape safer care and improve patient outcomes

Are you passionate about patient safety, quality improvement and learning from incidents? Do you have excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills, with a commitment to improving care for patients and supporting staff?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Divisional Quality and Patient Safety Team to provide Maternity leave Cover for the part-time Patient Safety & Quality Advisor role. This is an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in patient safety, investigation and quality improvement while making a meaningful contribution to the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Working under the direction of the Patient Safety & Quality Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of the patient safety, quality, risk management, clinical effectiveness and patient experience agenda across the Division.

  • Help embed the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)
  • Support a culture of openness, learning and continuous improvement across clinical services

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced individual with experience in healthcare and ideally this will include a background in either governance, quality, risk management, or patient safety.

As Patient Safety & Quality Advisor, you will:

  • Manage a delegated and supervised caseload of Patient Safety Learning Responses
  • Ensure investigations are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, patients, families and carers, you will help ensure investigations are conducted with compassion, transparency and professionalism.
