Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Elective Orthopaedic Team at Chapel Allerton Hospital. The post-holder will provide a high-quality administrative and patient pathway service across Elective Orthopaedics, supporting the delivery of safe, efficient and patient-centred care.
Working closely with clinical and operational teams, you will coordinate inpatient pathways, support MDT processes, maintain accurate patient records and information systems, monitor service activity, and help ensure patients progress smoothly through their care journey. You will also support service improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with Trust policies, and provide supervision and support to administrative staff where required.
This is a varied and rewarding role requiring excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a busy hospital environment.

What You Will Bring To The Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and patient-focused individual who can thrive in a busy healthcare environment. You will bring:
- Experience coordinating complex administrative processes and patient pathways.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, clinicians, managers, and external organisations.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and using electronic patient administration systems and databases.
- The ability to monitor activity, identify issues, and escalate concerns appropriately to support service delivery.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams and working collaboratively across professional boundaries.
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and resolving complex enquiries professionally and sensitively.
- The ability to supervise, support and develop administrative staff, promoting a positive team culture.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality, confidentiality, and information governance standards.
- A flexible and proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality patient care.
