Every patient journey starts with a conversation.
As a Patient Services Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for patients accessing our diagnostic services, providing reassurance, answering questions and helping people book the appointments they need.
This is more than a call handling role. You'll play an important part in delivering an exceptional patient experience, ensuring every patient feels supported from referral through to appointment.

The opportunity
You'll be the first point of contact for patients, referrers and healthcare professionals, ensuring every interaction is professional, compassionate and efficient.
Working as part of our busy Referral Centre team, you'll coordinate appointments, respond to enquiries and help ensure patients receive the right appointment at the right time.
You'll play a vital role in supporting both our NHS and private diagnostic services, helping patients navigate their healthcare journey with confidence.
What you'll be doing
You'll:
- Answer patient enquiries by telephone and email with professionalism and empathy.
- Schedule appointments across a range of diagnostic services.
- Review referrals and ensure they are processed accurately.
- Liaise with patients to find appointments that meet their individual needs.
- Work closely with clinical and operational teams to maximise appointment availability.
- Keep patient records accurate and up to date across multiple systems.
- Respond to patient queries and resolve issues wherever possible.
- Support the smooth running of patient pathways from referral through to diagnosis.
- Help deliver an outstanding patient experience every day.
What success looks like
Within your first few months, you'll have:
- Built confidence in managing patient enquiries independently.
- Developed excellent knowledge of our services and appointment processes.
- Built positive relationships with colleagues across the business.
- Contributed to delivering an efficient, caring and professional patient experience.
- Become a trusted member of our Referral Centre team.

About you
You're someone who enjoys helping people, communicating with confidence and staying organised in a busy environment.
You'll bring:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A friendly, professional and compassionate approach.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills and confidence using multiple systems.
- The ability to prioritise your workload and remain calm under pressure.
- A flexible and positive approach to teamwork.
- A high level of personal accountability.
We'd particularly love to hear from you if you have...
- Experience in a healthcare, GP practice, radiology or diagnostic environment.
- Previous call centre, contact centre or customer service experience.
- Experience scheduling appointments or coordinating patient pathways.
