Role Description
The Patient Services Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Leicester, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the patient services team. This role coordinates workflows, assigns tasks, and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-centered service. The Team Leader supports and mentors team members, monitors performance, and implements improvements to processes and service standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Handling escalated patient queries
- Liaising with clinical and pharmacy teams
- Maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures
The role also contributes to service development initiatives, supports digital tools adoption, and helps maintain a positive, collaborative working environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Team Leadership and Team Management skills to guide, motivate, and develop a patient services team.
- Excellent Customer Service skills to handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high standard of care.
- Effective Communication skills to engage with patients, colleagues, and external partners in a clear and respectful manner.
- Proven Supervisory Skills to manage workloads, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or patient support environments is beneficial.
- Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with digital systems and patient management tools are preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting, with a commitment to patient confidentiality and data security.
- Relevant vocational training or education in healthcare, customer service, or management is an advantage.
