Payment Expansion & Business Development Lead
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Payment Expansion & Business Development Lead to support our expansion across the UK, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, and other European markets. The role will focus on developing partnerships with banks, PSPs, financial institutions, and other payment partners, while supporting local regulatory and licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage business relationships with banks, PSPs and financial institutions.
- Identify and develop new payment partnership and market expansion opportunities.
- Lead commercial discussions and partnership negotiations.
- Support local payment business setup, partner onboarding and implementation.
- Support regulatory and payment licensing applications together with Legal/Compliance teams.
- Conduct market research and provide local market insights to management.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Product, Technology, Compliance and Operations.
- Report on partnership pipeline, business development progress and market opportunities.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in payment, fintech, banking or financial services.
- Strong Business Development / Partnership experience with banks, PSPs or financial institutions.
- Experience in payment expansion, market entry or payment partnerships.
- Good understanding of local payment regulations and licensing processes.
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-management skills.
- Fluent English.
- Mandarin is a plus.

Preferred Profile
Strong Financial Institution / PSP Business Development experience is highly preferred. Candidates with a purely compliance or individual-user KYC background without financial institution and business development experience may not be suitable for this role.
