Payments/CHAPS/BACS SME - Product Manager--UK Hybrid
We require an SME in payments/CHAPS/BACS to define the business requirements for the 3 UK payment schemes required by a strategically important American tier 1 bank to establish their UK branch through the sponsored/indirect participant model.
Key extensive knowledge required:
- Faster Payments
- CHAPS
- BACS
Some knowledge of SWIFT may also be useful.
The team will have a core of three Subject Matter Experts with deep practical experience of the UK payment rails, their configuration, delivery and operational support.
The successful candidate will require deep practical experience of the definition of business requirements, business analysis and ideally, product management. They will have demonstratable knowledge and experience with the implementation and/or servicing of two or more of the primary three UK payment rails mentioned above, the scheme rules and the associated value chain, with their past work experience showing commitment to their roles and responsibilities.
They will be comfortable using various formal structures and approaches to gather, collate and decompose collected information into concise, clear and actionable work packages for analysts within the wider team can develop draft requirements from. They will further review draft requirements and help drive approvals. Where requirements are converted into functional requirements and acceptance criteria, they will support ‘paper testing’ and validation that the business requirements are being met.

They will be adept at conducting stakeholder meetings and workshops to extract organisational preferences, processes and end customer nuances that potentially impact or influence, interpretation of the business requirements.
They should be able to bring value to the project via knowledge of business analysis and product management best practices. Their practical experience with appropriate collation and collaboration tools such as Atlassian Confluence, Jira, the IBM Rational Suite (RRC, RTC) or similar, should enable them to contribute to the effective constitution of delivery approach for the project. They should be comfortable working with junior analysts and as part of geographically distributed team.
