About Us

Ticket Tailor is committed to empowering a diverse range of event creators through simple and affordable ticketing. But that's not all, we're also on a mission to make sure that every single ticket sold has a positive impact on all stakeholders, our team, our planet and the communities we operate in. We call this "Growth on Purpose" and are proud to be a Certified B Corp™, officially putting business for good at the centre of everything we do.

Last year, over 10 million orders were placed through the Ticket Tailor platform, for all types of events from art installations to water parks. We have a world-class NPS score, and pride ourselves in building a simple platform built with a customer-first mindset.

We're a fully independent, profitable, and bootstrapped company meaning we don't have to answer to anyone except ourselves and our customers, allowing us to scale the company sustainably and with soul. We work hybrid-remote and do two days per week in office, in our lovely space in Hackney.

About The Role

We're launching a brand-new team to build a new payments product, and we're hiring a full-time Payments Product Manager to own the product thinking behind all of it. Payments are growing rapidly at Ticket Tailor: we’re on track to process over $1 billion in ticket revenue this year – and it’s becoming a product in its own right rather than a set of integrations bolted onto ticketing, and this is the role that owns where it goes: the payment provider integrations we run today, the new payments product we're building, and everything event organisers experience around getting paid.

This is a domain-owning role, not a backlog-owning one. You'll set a coherent long-term vision for payments and use it to guide the decisions we make today, and you'll go deep enough on organisers' real payments problems that what we build has meaningful, lasting impact rather than surface-level polish. Your instinct to move fast will be important, but you know that payments are low-margin-for-error territory.

You'll work in a small, empowered team: two Payments Product Engineers and a Head of Commercial Finance – with support from our Architects pairing on the early build, and our Head of Product Design scaffolding the experience. Nobody in that team reports to you – your influence comes from clarity, and from being the person who has genuinely understood the problem. You'll report to our Product Director, and you'll have a real say in the decisions that shape the product and share in the successes with the whole company.

What you’ll be doing in the role

  • Own the product vision for payments – both the integrations we run today and the new payments product – and use that vision to inform the tactical calls we make now, rather than reacting request-by-request.
  • Get genuinely deep into organisers' payments problems: diagnose the actual problem behind the request, and define what "good" looks like for the person it's for.
  • Own the payment integrations we already run end-to-end, roadmap included. There’s a real, near-term impact opportunity: the connection step is currently our single biggest conversion drop-off point.
  • Build and maintain a clear, living payments domain model – the primitives, the language, and untangling the concepts that have been conflated – so the team can easily compose new things instead of re-deriving the basics each time (we call this “building Lego, not jigsaws”).
  • Turn operational friction around money movement (disputes, payout clarity, onboarding, and everything organisers worry about when their money is involved) into product problems worth solving properly, not support queues to manage.
  • Design so we don't have to firefight later. Poorly-designed payments products turn into toil and risk for our support and ops teams, and avoiding that is part of the job, not an afterthought.
  • Judge whether what we shipped is actually working: identify meaningful customer signals and iterate off them.
  • Use AI fluently and creatively to go deep and rigorous, not just fast. This is core to how our team operates.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you

Essential

  • Real payments product experience, evidenced by your work: product ownership of payments in a SaaS, platform, marketplace or payment servicer provider context, with a working understanding of the shape of the domain: onboarding and KYC, payouts, disputes and chargebacks, reconciliation, pricing, and fraud.
  • Experience owning a product or a domain end-to-end, with the vision and the decisions, not just grooming a delivery backlog someone else defined.
  • First-principles problem diagnosis: you question the brief, find the actual problem, and define value in terms of the person who matters.
  • Vision-setting: you can articulate where a domain is heading and use that to guide what gets built today.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: How we operate, how we take advantage of agentic workflows, and the scope of the product are all still settling, and you'll need to be effective before they're settled.
  • A genuine drive to work in an AI-native way: you're curious and happy to change how you work as the tools evolve, to raise both the depth and the pace of your work.

Desirable

  • Experience integrating or building on specific providers (eg. Stripe, PayPal, Square, Adyen).
  • Working knowledge of risk, compliance, tax and fraud.
  • Strong product discovery and communication: you can distill a messy problem into clarity that a small, empowered team can align around.
  • You design with data-sensitivity and security in mind. Payments combines sensitive financial and personal data, content we don't control from organisers and buyers, and external communication like payouts and messaging.
  • Enough technical literacy and curiosity to read the system and work well with engineers and architects.
  • Experience judging impact through customer feedback signals: knowing what to measure, what "working" looks like, and how to adjust.
  • Experience building a product from scratch, where the shape of the thing isn't decided yet.

How you work

  • Keep it simple. You don't overcomplicate, you reason from first principles, and you know the difference between a decision that's quick and reversible and one that's a one-way door worth slowing down for. You're ambitious to own payments for the long term, building something coherent and extendable rather than a pile of features.
  • Focused on impact. You have a deep care and empathy for event organisers, and strong product sense leads your decisions. You want to see adoption and revenue grow, and you use real signals to iterate and improve.
  • Driven by feedback. You have a growth mindset, low ego, and you see feedback as a tool for getting better.
  • Human after all. You're happiest working as part of a team. You collaborate through clarity rather than authority, and you thrive in kind, collaborative spaces where you can be vulnerable and transparent.

The Process

If your application is shortlisted, then you will receive detailed information about the next stages of the process.

As an outline, the process will include:

A note on using AI in your application
