Benefits Payroll / Accounts Assistant – Temporary

  • Immediate start
  • Temporary, zero-hours contract
  • 3 days per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
  • Based at Head Office near St Albans, Hertfordshire
  • 8.30am – 5pm
  • £16 per hour

Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced Payroll / Accounts Assistant to provide temporary support to our Finance team during a particularly busy period.

The role will primarily support our weekly and monthly payroll processes, alongside a variety of finance and accounts-related activities. You will also assist the team with year-end activities, audit preparation, and pension account reconciliations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Assisting with payroll administration and associated checks
  • Supporting pension account reconciliations
  • Assisting with year-end finance activities
  • Providing information and support during the annual audit
  • Carrying out general finance and accounts administration as required
  • Using Excel to review, reconcile, and maintain financial and payroll information

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous payroll experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ideally to an intermediate level
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good numerical and organizational skills
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Experience of ADP payroll systems would be highly desirable

This is a great opportunity for someone with payroll and accounts experience who is available at short notice and looking for a temporary, part-time position.
