UK Payroll Admin – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: London (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: Up to £45,000 + 10% Bonus
Sector: Media

Our client is a global media organisation with a well-established international presence and a reputation for innovation and operational excellence. Due to a period of transformation and continual improvement within the payroll function, they are seeking an experienced UK Payroll Specialist to join the team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

  • Manage and process the end-to-end in-house UK payroll for approximately 600 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Act as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Partner with the Global Payroll Transformation Lead to support payroll improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Develop, document and maintain payroll process maps, procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure payroll data is accurate and delivered within agreed timelines.

Candidate Profile & Experience

  • A minimum of three years’ UK payroll experience gained within an in-house payroll environment.
  • Previous experience using Workday as a HRIS is essential.
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, payroll processing, and associated compliance requirements.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work confidently with payroll data and reporting.
