About The Role

We are currently seeking a Payroll Administrator (FTC) to join our client's established payroll team in Solihull. This is a full-time position offering hybrid working arrangements, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to contribute to a dynamic and supportive environment. The role involves managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with legislation, and supporting various payroll-related activities including benefits administration and process improvements. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, maintaining high service standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and processes. You should have excellent numerical and analytical skills, along with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous experience working in fast-paced administrative environments is highly desirable, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Process allocated payrolls accurately and efficiently within strict deadlines, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal controls.
  • Ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time, maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Handle payroll queries from employees and stakeholders professionally, providing clear and helpful responses.
  • Support payroll administration activities, including data entry, record keeping, and documentation management.
  • Assist with employee benefits administration, including pensions, savings schemes, and other related programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the wider payroll and reward teams to deliver consistent and high-quality service.
  • Contribute to the implementation of payroll initiatives, process enhancements, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Generate payroll reports and analysis as required for management and audit purposes.
  • Ensure adherence to HMRC legislation and payroll best practices, keeping up-to-date with legislative changes.
  • Support additional administrative duties related to payroll and HR as needed.
