About The Role
The Payroll Administrator (FTC) role offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-established payroll team within a dynamic organization located in Solihull. This position is a fixed-term contract, providing a chance for experienced payroll professionals to contribute to a busy and supportive environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, supporting benefits administration, and enhancing payroll processes through continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
- Previous experience in payroll administration and processing
- Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and processes
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced administrative environment
Responsibilities
- Process allocated payrolls accurately and within designated deadlines, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal controls.
- Ensure all employees are paid correctly and punctually, maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Handle payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders with professionalism and a customer-focused approach.
- Support payroll administration activities, including benefits management such as pensions and savings schemes.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate payroll records and documentation to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with the wider payroll and reward teams to deliver consistent and quality service.
- Assist in the implementation of payroll initiatives, process improvements, and ongoing activities aimed at enhancing efficiency.
- Generate payroll reports and perform data analysis to support decision-making and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to HMRC legislation and payroll best practices to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support additional administrative duties related to payroll as required by the organization.
