About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team at Portfolio Payroll Limited. This role offers a unique opportunity for a payroll professional to operate within a high-volume environment, managing complex payroll processes with precision and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for a diverse workforce, including permanent staff, contractors, and casual workers, ensuring all payroll activities are completed accurately and on time. This position requires a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance and streamline payroll operations. The Payroll Administrator will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of payroll data, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the overall payroll function to deliver exceptional service to our clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in processing high-volume payroll within a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Strong understanding of statutory payments and payroll legislation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications
- Prior experience working with diverse employee types, including casual and shift workers, is preferred
Responsibilities
- Processing end-to-end payroll for a large and varied employee base, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Managing payroll for permanent staff, contractors, and casual workers, including variable hours and shift patterns
- Calculating overtime, allowances, leave entitlements, and statutory payments accurately
- Ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation and company policies
- Performing payroll reconciliations, generating reports, and resolving complex payroll queries
- Collaborating closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations
- Maintaining payroll records and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Assisting with audits and ensuring adherence to internal controls and external regulations
