Job Title – Payroll Administrator
Location – Solihull, UK (hybrid)
Hours - Full-time

The team
The Payroll team sits within our Central Support Office and is responsible for delivering payroll services across a large network of veterinary practices throughout the UK. The team consists of nine Payroll Administrators and a Senior Payroll Administrator, all reporting into the Payroll Manager. Together, the team manages 87 monthly payrolls for approximately 6,500 employees. Each Payroll Administrator is responsible for their own dedicated portfolio, providing variety, ownership and the opportunity to build strong working relationships across the business. The team is collaborative, supportive and focused on delivering a high-quality payroll service while continually improving processes and systems.

What We’re Looking For
- At least three years' experience processing payrolls, including end-to-end payroll administration.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, statutory payments and deductions, including SSP, SMP and SPP.
- Ability to manually calculate gross-to-net pay, with a solid understanding of Tax, National Insurance and pension calculations.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail, numeracy and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and adapt positively to change.
