Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Goole
Salary: £30,000
Employment Type: Permanent
We’re currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services to clients.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least one year of payroll experience who is looking to build on their existing knowledge within a client-focused payroll environment.
The Role
As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately, compliantly and within strict deadlines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payrolls from gross to net
- Completing and submitting HMRC payroll submissions
- Calculating statutory payments, including statutory leave and other payments
- Liaising directly with clients and providing payroll support
- Responding to and resolving payroll queries in a timely manner
- Working to tight payroll deadlines and ensuring key deadlines are consistently met
- Preparing and sending BACS payment transmissions
- Preparing P45s and P60s
- Supporting with Auto Enrolment and pension-related payroll requirements
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all payroll processes

About You
We’re looking for someone who has a genuine interest in payroll and is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- At least 1 year’s previous payroll experience
- Good knowledge of payroll processes and associated legislation
- An understanding of Auto Enrolment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good IT and computer literacy
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- The ability to manage your workload and meet tight deadlines
- A collaborative, team-player mentality
- A proactive approach to resolving queries and supporting clients
