Looking to start your career in Payroll?

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join their Payroll & Pensions team on a temporary basis for 8-9 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and data entry skills who is looking to gain experience within a busy payroll environment. Previous payroll experience would be preferred.

About the Role

Supporting the Payroll & Pensions team, you will play a key role in ensuring employee payroll records are accurately maintained and payroll processes run smoothly.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Inputting and updating employee payroll and pension records
  • Processing starters, leavers and contractual changes
  • Assisting with payroll administration and data validation
  • Responding to payroll-related queries via email, telephone and helpdesk systems
  • Supporting pension administration activities
  • Producing reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring all payroll information is handled confidentially and accurately
  • Providing excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Strong administration and data entry skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A professional and proactive approach to work
  • Previous payroll, finance or HR administration experience
  • Experience working with confidential employee data
  • Experience using payroll, HR or case management systems
