Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Administrator's role is to help process the various Monthly payrolls and ensure the day to day smooth running of the Payroll department. They should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of PAYE and other payroll related matters. Being able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is also an essential quality.

Description

As Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for helping process the various monthly payrolls from data collection, through processing to payment and reconciliation.

  • Help to ensure an efficient and smooth running department.
  • Run the various monthly payrolls within the set deadlines.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by providing reports and other data as per their requirements.
  • Process the payrolls on time and accurately.
  • Process the payrolls in accordance with PAYE and any other payroll related legislation.
  • Produce reports and spreadsheets using the payroll system.
  • Ensure payment of PAYE, court order and pension deductions are made on time to third parties.
  • Post and reconcile the cashbook back to the payroll.
  • Respond to any employee queries in a quick and courteous manner
  • They will be responsible for posting payments and receipts on to the cashbook and reconciling back to the payroll.
  • Deal with clients and their employees queries.
  • Processing additional payments such as advances against salary and payment to third parties.
  • Be required to be flexible both in your hours of work and duties/areas of responsibility.

Profile

A successful Payroll Administrator should have:

  • Experience in payroll processing within the media and agency sector or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Good communication skills to address employee queries effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
