Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Salary: £35,000
Hybrid: Yes (3 days office minimum ideally but flexible)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Luton - Capability Green
Happy to consider full and part-time hours!
Key Responsibilities
- Process payrolls for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Handle PAYE/NIC calculations and BACS payments
- Manage payroll queries from clients and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with HMRC regarding PAYE matters
- Support the setup of new PAYE schemes and payroll systems
- Maintain accurate records and workflow updates within payroll systems
- Assist with process improvements and ad hoc payroll tasks

About You

- Minimum 4 years’ payroll experience, within an accountancy or bureau environment
- Strong understanding of auto-enrolment and payroll legislation
- Confident in manual payroll calculations (PAYE/NIC)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Excellent communication and Excel skills
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g. Brightpay) is advantageous
