About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part-time Payroll Administrator to join our team for a 9-month contract. This role is integral to supporting the Payroll Manager in managing end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee payments. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance and HR departments to ensure seamless payroll operations, compliance with UK payroll legislation, and effective administration of employee benefits, including pensions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with payroll experience to contribute to a dynamic organization while enhancing their professional skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in processing UK payroll, with a strong understanding of payroll procedures and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of UK payroll rules, regulations, and legislation, including pension administration.
- Experience managing medium to large payrolls, ideally processing up to 900 employees.
- Administering pensions is essential, with a solid understanding of pension schemes and related compliance.
- Professional payroll qualification such as CIPP or an equivalent certification is required.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Processing payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring adherence to payroll schedules and deadlines.
- Administering employee pensions and ensuring compliance with pension legislation and company policies.
- Maintaining and updating payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and amendments.
- Calculating and processing statutory deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related payments.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant UK payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborating with the HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries.
- Supporting payroll audits and preparing reports for management review.
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
