About us
Established over 25 years ago, Timberbush Tours is an Edinburgh-based, family-owned business. Operating from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness, our five-star, award-winning tours depart daily and include a variety of one-, two- and three-day excursions across Scotland and Northern England. We also have a growing Private and Corporate Hire Department that caters to bespoke travel needs. Timberbush operates a modern fleet of 60 vehicles in a range of sizes.

About the role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Payroll Administrator to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll information for more than 100 employees. This part-time, on-site role is based in Granton and offers 15–20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities
- Process daily hours for the weekly payroll submission for 100+ employees
- Accurately record absences, process fit notes, maternity and paternity forms, overtime, deductions, bonuses and other payroll adjustments
- Submit all payroll information to the external payroll administrator within agreed deadlines including new starter details, salary changes, leaver information, P45 requests, outstanding holiday pay and any late corrections
- Submit Pension and PMI information to the external benefit administrator including details of eligible new starters, leavers and change of details
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date pension and life cover records for new starters and leavers
- Monitor the payroll helpdesk, answer employee queries and deal with requests promptly including queries relating to missing or additional hours, holiday pay, payslips, pensions and clocking records

Role details
- Hours: 15–20 hours per week
- Pay: £14 per hour

Skills and attributes
- Payroll experience is desirable but not essential.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet agreed deadlines.
- Clear and professional communication skills when responding to employee queries.
