Salary: £29,697 - £34,267 dependent on experience

We're looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Bristol to play a vital role in ensuring our people are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time. This is an opportunity to develop your expertise within a business that actively supports career progression and professional development.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for delivering accurate weekly and monthly payrolls, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, and acting as a trusted point of contact for payroll-related queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payroll accurately
  • Administer new starters, leavers, contractual changes, and pay progression updates
  • Manage statutory and contractual payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, ShPP, etc.)
  • Apply payroll deductions in line with company agreements and legislation
  • Complete payroll checks, test runs, and final processing
  • Prepare BACS documentation and payroll reports
  • Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Operations, and Finance teams

About You

  • Previous payroll administration experience, ideally working in a complex organization
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Confident communicator at all levels
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Committed to confidentiality and excellent customer service

End-to-end payroll processing experience is desirable, but not essential. Occasional flexibility around payroll deadlines will be required.
