Location: Solihull/Hybrid
Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract
Are you an organised payroll professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellence? Do you enjoy working on projects that drive meaningful change?
We're looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting a key business initiative: the implementation of Payroll Benefits in Kind (PBIK) within Tarmac's SAP ECC Payroll environment.
Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you'll play an important role in ensuring the successful delivery of this high-profile payroll transformation project, supporting activities from requirements gathering and testing through to deployment and business readiness.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsibilities
As Payroll Administrator, you'll be at the heart of the project, helping to ensure a smooth and compliant implementation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder meetings
- Documenting business requirements, project actions, decisions and process changes
- Performing payroll data validation, analysis and reconciliations
- Assisting with System Integration Testing (SIT), Parallel Runs and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Logging, tracking and supporting the resolution of testing defects
- Validating payroll calculations and outputs
- Producing project reports and governance documentation
- Supporting training, communications and business readiness activities
- Helping ensure a successful transition into Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines payroll expertise with excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
You'll Ideally Have
- Previous payroll administration experience
- A good understanding of UK payroll legislation
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience supporting payroll projects, system implementations or payroll change initiatives
Desirable
- Experience of SAP ECC Payroll
- CIPP qualification (or currently working towards one)
