Job Details:

Job Purpose

The HR Analyst supports the delivery of HR operations across the EMEA region, providing expertise in payroll administration, HR reporting, data analysis, HR systems and supporting operational HR activities. The role combines analytical capability with practical HR support to help ensure accurate pay, high-quality employee data, compliance with company policies, and an exceptional employee experience.

The role works closely with managers, employees and the wider HR team to provide insight, improve processes and support key people initiatives across the organisation. Payroll administration remains a key focus area whilst continuing to broaden exposure to operational HR activities.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration

  • Coordinate and administer payroll activities across designated EMEA locations (UK, Netherlands and ROE).
  • Ensure all payroll inputs, employee changes and variable payments are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Liaise with payroll providers to resolve payroll queries and discrepancies.
  • Support payroll audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
  • Produce payroll-related reports and analysis for management teams.

HR Data and Analytics

  • Maintain accurate employee data within HR systems.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc HR reports, dashboards and workforce metrics.
  • Support data validation, system testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support business and HR decision-making.

HR Systems and Process Improvement

  • Support the effective utilisation of Workday and other HR systems.
  • Maintain data integrity and contribute to HR systems improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual administration.
  • Assist with implementation of new HR initiatives and digital transformation projects.

Compensation, Benefits and Financial Support

  • Support annual compensation review processes and salary benchmarking activities.
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee queries.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support HR budgeting and workforce planning.
  • Contribute to compensation-related projects and initiatives.

Learning and Development

  • Coordinate training activities and maintain training records.
  • Support apprenticeship, qualification and development programmes.
  • Assist with management training and employee development initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • CIPP qualification (level 3) or working towards this qualification.
  • 2 years experience within HR, Payroll, People Operations or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using HR systems or payroll systems.

Desirable

  • Experience of Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and employment practices.
  • Experience supporting multi-country operations.
  • Understanding of HR metrics and workforce analytics.
