Payroll Administrator
Location: Clifton Moor, York
Part-Time | 25-28 Hours per Week
Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for a part-time role within a friendly, professional, and supportive team?
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice, is looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join their growing payroll team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, takes pride in delivering an accurate payroll service, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you'll be responsible for processing payrolls from start to finish while ensuring compliance with HMRC and pension regulations. You'll become a trusted point of contact for clients, providing a responsive and professional service while working closely with colleagues to deliver the highest standards.

What you'll be doing:
- Managing your own portfolio of payroll clients.
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
- Submitting payroll information to HMRC and pension providers.
- Advising clients on payroll-related liabilities and responding to payroll queries.
- Building long-lasting relationships by providing an exceptional client experience.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring client information is kept up to date.
- Prioritising your workload to consistently meet deadlines.
- Supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge within the payroll team.
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional value to clients where appropriate.
- Keeping your payroll knowledge up to date through ongoing professional development.
What we're looking for:

- Previous payroll experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive, positive approach and excellent communication skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Experience with payroll software such as IRIS would be an advantage.
