Job Title: Payroll Administrator
A well-established and growing international organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its finance shared services team based in Barrow. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple payrolls while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high standard of employee service.
The Opportunity
Reporting to a senior finance leader, you will play a key role in the accurate and timely administration of payroll activities across UK operations, while also supporting selected international payroll processes. Working closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers, you will help ensure payroll is delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the processing of monthly and quarterly payrolls across multiple entities.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, and statutory information.
- Process RTI submissions and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Administer pension schemes and related payroll deductions.
- Support payroll year-end activities, including P11D preparation and submissions.
- Investigate and resolve payroll queries from employees and managers.
- Reconcile payroll data and maintain auditable records.
- Liaise with external payroll providers and support international payroll administration where required.
- Ensure payroll processes comply with internal controls, GDPR, and relevant legislation.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous payroll administration experience.
- A sound understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and payroll legislation.
- Experience working with payroll systems and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet payroll deadlines.
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to support continuous process improvement.
Salary and Package
- Annual salary up to £35,000
- Full-time permanent role, 37 hours per week
- Hybrid working option, requirement to be office-based 2 days per week
- Private medical
- Company pension scheme
- Enhanced holiday entitlement, 25 days plus option to buy an additional 5 per annum
